Este es, en el fondo, un trabajo sobre la memoria como territorio inestable. El bosque aparece como un lugar aparentemente inalterable en el paisaje, un espacio de permanencia que sostiene la mirada. Como sugiere Javier Maderuelo, el paisaje es un “constructor” que nos permite interpretar las cualidades de un territorio.
Trabajo con capas de papel gofrado que replican la fotografía de fondo como si fuera un recuerdo:capa tras capa, el papel actúa como filtro del tiempo y, como la memoria, selecciona, oculta o revela fragmentos de lo vivido. Cada imagen del bosque es a la vez presencia y ausencia, memoria y olvido.
This is, at heart, a work about memory as an unstable territory. The forest appears as an apparently unalterable place within the landscape, a space of permanence that steadies the gaze. As Javier Maderuelo suggests, the landscape is a “constructor” that allows us to interpret a territory’s qualities.
I work with layers of embossed paper that replicate the background photograph as if it were a recollection: layer by layer, the paper acts as a filter of time and, like memory, selects, conceals, or reveals fragments of what has been lived. Each forest image is at once presence and absence, memory and forgetting.

Aquí, la memoria es un proceso en movimiento. El mar borra y devuelve, construye y deshace, como hacen los recuerdos cuando regresan: las olas borran lo vivido y lo devuelven, construyendo y deshaciendo el recuerdo de forma continua, es un proceso en movimiento.
El mar borra y devuelve, construye y deshace, como hacen los recuerdos cuando regresan —alterados por el tiempo-. Así, el paisaje —bosque y mar— se convierte en un archivo móvil, un lugar donde la memoria se escribe y se borra al ritmo del tiempo.
Here, memory is a process in motion. The sea erases and returns, builds and unbuilds—just as memories do when they resurface: the waves wash away what was lived and bring it back again, continually shaping and unshaping remembrance. It is a process in motion.
The sea erases and returns, builds and undoes, as memories do when they come back —altered by time—. Thus the landscape —forest and sea— becomes a mobile archive, a place where memory is written and erased to the rhythm of time.
